Live on the Green. Spanish Gold, The Weeks, City and Colour kick off the concert series at 6 p.m. Thursday. Since its inception in 2009, more than 200,000 fans from 29 states and 10 countries have attended the free outdoor music festival. Eighth Annual Nashville Emerging Leader Awards. The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and YP Nashville are proud to present the eighth annual Nashville Emerging Leader Awards. The NELAs recognize young professionals in 15 industry classifications who are excelling in their careers and making a difference in the community. Spark Series. Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce is kicking off its new Spark Series, offering professional development workshops in partnership with c3/consulting. For teams or individuals, these full- and half-day workshops help organizations increase productivity, improve collaboration, enhance leadership skills and learn techniques for strategic planning. Fans, players and coaches will celebrate Vanderbilt's College World Series championship tonight at 6 at the school's soccer/lacrosse field, with access on the east side of McGugin Center. Parking is available in the Medical Center lots located at the corner of Natchez Trace and Jess Neely Drive. The team is expected to return to McGugin Center around 1:30 p.m. today.

School Board Candidate Forum. The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Urban League of Middle Tennessee and the Metropolitan Nashville Education Association, is hosting four forums with candidates for the Metropolitan Board of Education in June. Tonight's event features District 4 candidates Rhonda Dixon, Anna Shepherd and Pam Swoner, 5-6:30 p.m., at Two Rivers Middle School Media Center, 2991 McGavock Pike. Open to the public, each forum will offer the opportunity for candidates to share their vision for Metro Nashville Public Schools. All forums will be recorded by Nashville Education, Community and Arts Television for later rebroadcast on Comcast Channel 10 in Davidson County. Nashville Symphony Summer Concerts. An annual summer tradition that embodies the organization’s mission of bringing outstanding music to audiences of every age and background throughout Middle Tennessee. Featured composers include Beethoven, Bernstein, Copland, Tchaikovsky, Cole Porter and more. All performances are free of charge (except where noted) and will be conducted by Nashville Symphony Assistant Conductor Vinay Parameswaran. GJCC January Art Exhibit. Works by Juliana Ericson, Jasmine Cheri and Nancy Johnson will be featured at the Gordon Jewish Community Center today through Jan. 31. The South Through Eight Lenses & A Code. The Arts Company presents a two-month celebration of photography, featuring eight photographers from the South Light Salon. The exhibition, scheduled for Jan. 7-Feb. 24, will be accompanied by Festival of Salon Saturdays at The Arts Company designed to expand the gallery experience through poetry, film, photography, QR codes, and multiple events hosted by art photographers and special guests. Visitors are encouraged to use smart phones and plan to scan the artwork through the 21st-Century technology of QR Codes. The exhibition will open during First Saturday Art Crawl on Jan. 7.
