Courtyard Concerts
Food truck fare and free lunchtime music at the Downtown Library, 615 Church St. The 2014 Courtyard Concerts series, now in its 11th year, is funded by the Nashville Public Library Foundation and supported by media sponsor The Nashville Scene. Concerts will run every Tuesday, 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m., through Oct. 7. Performances are informal and unseated, so guests can bring lunch and drop in to hear music in the Robinson Courtyard, located on the Library’s second floor.

Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce is kicking off its new Spark Series, offering professional development workshops in partnership with c3/consulting. For teams or individuals, these full- and half-day workshops help organizations increase productivity, improve collaboration, enhance leadership skills and learn techniques for strategic planning. Junior Achievement Awareness Breakfast
More than 300 business people will gather at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel to learn about the Junior Achievement organization and what it offers to the community. Randy Lowry, president of Lipscomb University, will offer the keynote address. Attendees are being invited to the event by Junior Achievement Board Members and other supporters. Members of the public are invited to attend as well. In addition to Lowry, Junior Achievement students, volunteers, teachers, and Board Members will speak, sharing about their experiences in the program and the impact it has made in their lives. Junior Achievement offers programming for kindergarten through twelfth grade students focusing on entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy.
