Frustration is building in lockerroom

Perhaps that’s what happened Sunday with Calvin Ridley, who did not catch any of the eight balls thrown his way against Indianapolis and is in the midst of a three-game stretch with just two catches for 14 yards.
There were few balls thrown to Ridley in the first two of those three games. In Miami, the Titans were content to run the football and the clock and escape with their only win.
But Sunday, Ridley, who signed a four-year, $92 million contract in the offseason, aired his frustrations at not being able to connect with Will Levis or get involved in an offense that was stale and stagnant most of the day.
Six of Ridley’s eight targets came in the second half. After the game, his frustrations were evident in his words.
“(Expletive), I need some (targets) at the beginning of the (expletive) game too, then,” Ridley said after the game. “Like, (expletive) is getting (expletive) crazy for me.”
For his part, Levis said he and Ridley will continue to work to improve the connection.
“We just got to keep working. I trust him. We’ve gotten so far from where we started, and I have great feel for where he’s going to be,” Levis said. “He knows he can make a couple of those plays. I know I can put the ball in a little better spot and make it easier on him.
“But yeah, I got to do what I can do to get him better, and he’s just got to stay positive and trust that this relationship’s going to continue to develop, because I know it will,” Levis continued. “And I know it’s been aggravating and frustrating. And it’s been one of those things where, like, ‘When’s it going to happen? When’s it going to happen?’
“And that’s just kind of the feel of the whole team right now. Like we thought this was a moment for us to kind of flip that switch and get it started. And obviously, you’re going to have to keep fighting. But that’s all we can do is just keep working and trusting, loving each other.”
A few pass completions and explosive plays couldn’t hurt either.
