The sixth annual NELAs will recognize young professionals in 15 industry classifications who are excelling in their careers and making a difference in the Nashville community. OSHA Training. Participants will have the opportunity to learn basic construction safety skills over two full days and receive government-issued Occupational Safety Health Administration 10 hour training cards. This course is required before advanced skills trainings.

Intellectual Property Seminar. The law firm of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC will present on Thursday the second in a series of seminars focused on the basics of intellectual property issues for advertising and marketing professionals, this installment focusing on copyright. Dealing with Guns in the Workplace. Baker Donelson labor and employment attorneys Mark Baugh and Natasha Campbell lead a discussion Thursday on the impact the new laws will have on workplace violence, provisions needed to make sure a weapon is secure, and what immunity may be given to the employer. This is a part of Baker Donelson’s regular Third Thursday Labor & Employment Breakfast Briefing program. Cheekwood Summer Nights Party is set for Friday at Cheekwood Botanical Garden & Museum of Art. The 7 p.m. event starts with live music from the San Rafael Band and hors d’oeuvres and cash bar on the Museum loggia. At 9, there will be a screening on the lawn of The Great Gatsby.
