Seigenthaler
Global public relations firm Finn Partners has announced that award-winning communications professional and journalist John Seigenthaler has joined the agency.
Seigenthaler spent much of his career as a journalist for NBC News. He was the anchor of NBC Nightly News Weekend Edition and special correspondent for NBC News for more than a decade. Seigenthaler has appeared on Meet the Press, TODAY, Dateline, MSNBC and CNBC and covered a wide range of major international and national stories.
Seigenthaler’s work in public relations began in 2007, when he joined Seigenthaler Public Relations, the Nashville-based agency founded by his uncle, Tom Seigenthaler, which was acquired by Finn Partners in 2015. He led SPR’s New York City office until 2013, focusing on health care, financial services, environment, technology, academics and public policy.
He recently served as the primetime news anchor for cable news channel Aljazeera America. Early in his career, Seigenthaler worked as an anchor and reporter at Nashville’s WKRN, WSMV and Seattle’s KOMO.
Baker Donelson hires pair of associates
Hickey
Baker Donelson has hired Sye T. Hickey and Quin Evans Segall to the firm’s Nashville office.
Hickey’s practice is focused on complex commercial litigation, and he frequently works with individual and corporate clients in disputes surrounding business torts and contractual issues.
He previously served as a prosecutorial extern with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Tennessee. Prior to graduating from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2013, Hickey successfully argued the first application of the U.S.S.G. § 2D1.1(b)(12) enhancement in the Eastern District and prevailed on a mandatory minimum sentencing argument to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Segall
Segall, a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Finance Group, has extensive experience representing property managers in ad valorem tax disputes, representing property owners in various title-related and ownership association disputes, representing individuals in estate planning and probate matters, and representing local governments in various matters, including day-to-day operations, legislative drafting and public finance projects.
A 2006 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law, Segall clerked for the Hon. Gregory F. Van Tatenhove with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. She has served as president for the Family Guidance Center of Alabama and for Landmarks Foundation of Alabama.
Neal & Harwell adds Lybeck as associate

Erik C. Lybeck has joined Neal & Harwell, PLC, as an associate. Lybeck will focus on complex litigation.
Lybeck earned his J.D. at Vanderbilt University Law School, where he was managing editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review. He received the Lightfoot, Franklin & Wright Best Brief Award and was involved in numerous campus activities. He also holds a degree in English from the University of South Carolina Honors College.
Fifth Third Bank promotes Logue

Fifth Third Bank today has named Chris Logue vice president and retail market manager for the Georgia region, which includes 32 full-service financial centers in the Atlanta and Augusta markets. He assumed management responsibility of the Tennessee’s 36 financial centers and retail markets in Middle Tennessee and Knoxville in August 2015.
Logue has been with Fifth Third since December 2005, starting as a financial center manager before being promoted to vice president and retail regional manager in December 2007. A Murfreesboro resident, he is actively involved in the community, serving on the Habitat for Humanity board of directors.
He is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in economics.
Sustainability expert joins MP&F staff
Ganson
MP&F Public Relations has hired Lindsey Ganson as the firm’s newest account supervisor.
Ganson has more than a decade of experience in sustainability, infrastructure and grassroots campaigns. Since moving to Nashville in 2014, She has been leading the public outreach efforts for nMotion, the 25-year strategic plan of the Nashville Metro Transit Authority and the Regional Transportation Authority of Middle Tennessee (MTA/RTA).
Before moving to Nashville, Ganson was the chief operating officer of Transportation Alternatives in New York City, where she led grassroots campaigns to improve transportation policies.
She also served as chief of staff of the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, acting treasurer of the New York City Water Board under Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and as a manager of NYC & Company, New York City’s Convention and Visitors’ Bureau.
Ganson graduated from Georgetown University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and Spanish.

MacQuarrie most recently worked as a financial services consultant to various Fortune 100, Fortune 500, and other privately-owned companies at DRM Financial Services.
He also has served as a manager and financial analyst at regional and national public accounting firms.
He earned a degree in business administration from Texas Christian University. MacQuarrie is a member of the national Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute, the CFA Society of Nashville, and the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce.
