The Battle of Franklin Trust’s movie nights feature family-friendly films on the east lawn at Carnton Plantation. Gates open one hour prior to the feature presentation. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted and additional food and drinks will be available for purchase, including food trucks and beer vendors. Pets, tents and grills are not permitted. Little Chef Big Chef Fundraising Dinner
Louie’s Kids, a national nonprofit treating childhood obesity through promotion of healthier and more productive lifestyles, will be presenting Nashville’s first Little Chef Big Chef fundraising dinner, 7-10 p.m., at City House restaurant. Host chef will be City House’s chef-owner Tandy Wilson, the reigning James Beard Foundation Award Best Chef: Southeast. Guest chefs will include co-host Matt Bolus of 404 Kitchen, City House pastry chef Rebekah Turshen and Michael Martin of Whole Foods Market in Franklin. Chefs have been working with their assigned “little chef” to prepare and serve local food while emphasizing healthy cooking and quality ingredients. $100 per person, which includes dinner with drink pairings, tax and gratuity.
