NASHVILLE (AP) — New business owners can get answers to their tax questions at a series of free workshops offered in January by the Tennessee Department of Revenue.
According to the department, the workshops are designed to assist people filing business-related taxes for the first time. Tax specialists from local and state agencies will provide the basic information needed to comply with registration and tax requirements. Areas of discussion will include business tax, sales and use tax, and tax enforcement procedures.
The workshops will take place in Chattanooga, Johnson City, Knoxville, Memphis and Nashville.
Space is limited and registration is required. More information is available online at www.tn.gov/revenue/article/tax-workshops.
