NASHVILLE (AP) — More than 400 agricultural experts and farmers are expected at Tennessee State University in Nashville on Thursday for the Tennessee Small Farms Expo.
The Expo is hosted by the TSU College of Agriculture, Human and Natural Sciences Cooperative Extension Program and will be held at the Agricultural Research and Education Center starting at 7:30 a.m.
Highlights include farm demonstrations and tours for area high school students, displays of new research projects and experiments, as well as a showcase of the latest farming equipment, agricultural products and produce, and new farming techniques.
U.S. Department of Agriculture representatives are expected to attend.
The expo will culminate with recognition of the state's top four farmers and the Farmer of the Year Award presentation.
