NASHVILLE (AP) — President Barack Obama is scheduled to visit Middle Tennessee on Wednesday to discuss how the nation can continue to build on progress made under the Affordable Care Act, which has helped more than 16 million Americans gain health insurance, the White House says.

It's unclear whether Obama will speak in Nashville or somewhere else nearby in Middle Tennessee.

Democratic U.S. Rep. Jim Cooper issued a statement saying he's pleased the president is coming back to the area. It will be Obama's third visit to Middle Tennessee in the past year and a half.

The trip follows a 6-3 U.S. Supreme Court decision this past week in favor of the Obama administration in the battle over tax credit subsidies for health insurance as part of the health care law.
