Lidvall selected as president of O’Charley’s

American Blue Ribbon Holdings has announced the appointment of Ned R. Lidvall as president of O’Charley’s, the company’s largest brand.

Lidvall joins the ABRH executive team after an extensive national search to identify a president for O’Charley’s that can continue to propel the brand forward and build on six consecutive quarters of same-store sales growth.

Lidvall has more than 30 years of experience managing and operating leading restaurant companies, including On The Border as president & COO. In 2001, Lidvall was named president and CEO of Rock Bottom Restaurants, one of the largest restaurant breweries in the country. In 2008, he went on to become the CEO of Friendly Ice Cream Corp., overseeing management of the chain’s over 500 restaurants and retail ice cream sales.

Most recently, he co-founded Eat Here Brands, LLC, which operates multi-brand franchise restaurant concepts.

Founded in Nashville in 1972, O’Charley’s today consists of 214 restaurants in 20 states throughout the Southeast and Midwest.

Lifepoint Health promotes Belcher, Hill, Rehm

LifePoint Health has promoted three senior leaders to new posts:

Pam Belcher has been named senior vice president, human resources (HR) and talent management.

Reggie Hill has been appointed senior vice president, chief compliance and policy officer.

Dr. Christopher Rehm has assumed the newly-created position of chief medical informatics officer.

Belcher will be responsible for providing leadership in developing and executing human resources strategy and direction of the organization. In her previous role at LifePoint, Belcher served as vice president, organizational development and recruitment for seven years, leading talent initiatives and recruitment for LifePoint’s hospital executives and corporate associates.

Belcher earned a master’s degree in personnel counseling from the University of Mississippi. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Bachelor of Arts in education from the University of Tennessee at Martin.

Hill will be responsible for managing the company’s compliance program, including reviewing and evaluating policy and procedural issues and concerns across the organization. He also will advise and recommend strategies pertaining to highly anticipated health care policy and reform issues. Hill has served as chief compliance officer for LifePoint since 2013.

Prior to joining LifePoint Health, Hill was an attorney at Nashville law firm Waller, Lansden, Dortch & Davis, LLP, where he practiced corporate, health care, and mergers and acquisitions law. He earned his J.D. from the University of Tennessee and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin.

Rehm will be responsible for leading the deployment and adoption of clinical applications and technology solutions to enhance the quality, safety and efficiency of the care provided to patients across LifePoint Health. He previously served the company as vice president, medical informatics, since 2013.

Prior to joining LifePoint Health, Rehm served as chief medical officer and vice president of business development for Aionex, Inc. in Goodlettsville. Rehm earned his medical degree from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University.

First Advantage Bank recruits Pinnacle SVP

Meredith Futhey has joined First Advantage Bank’s Nashville office as senior vice president, director of Treasury Management. Futhey will lead and manage the bank’s treasury management division, with a focus on Middle Tennessee.

Futhey was most recently a financial advisor and senior vice president for Pinnacle Financial Partners in Knoxville, where she managed commercial banking and treasury management clients. She also spent five years with First Tennessee Bank overseeing treasury management services for large health care and corporate clients in Knoxville, Tri Cities and Chattanooga.

Futhey, who earned an undergraduate degree and an MBA from the University of Tennessee, began her banking career in 2002 as a financial counselor and has held numerous roles with regional and national banks in the Knoxville area. She has a broad range of experience in business banking, mortgage lending, management and sales.

Gullett Sanford Robinson & Martin adds attorney

The law firm of Gullett Sanford Robinson & Martin PLLC has added attorney Bryan K. Williams to the firm. Williams joins the firm as a partner and will practice in the firm’s Business and Corporate section. His practice is focused on assisting and providing legal representation to businesses, entrepreneurs, individuals and professionals with their business transactions and commercial needs, as well as dispute avoidance.

Prior to joining GSRM, Bryan was a partner at Cornelius & Collins, LLP. He earned his law degree from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphrey’s School of Law and a B.A. in political science from David Lipscomb University.

Acumen hires new VP of product development

Acumen Physician Solutions, an EHR and practice management system focused on solving clinical and business challenges for nephrology, has hired Carl Schick as vice president of product development.

Schick joins the senior leadership team and will oversee all aspects of product development for Acumen’s many nephrology-specific products, including Acumen Mobile Charge Capture, a tool that improves patient care and revenue by interfacing the disparate systems nephrologists use in the office, hospital and dialysis units.

Previously, Schick worked for McKesson, Allscripts/A4 Health Systems and GTE Data Services. Schick worked as senior vice president of engineering at Investors Title Insurance Company, where he was responsible for the company’s corporate software strategy and implementation, product management, business analysis, software development, quality assurance, and production support. Schick earned his MBA and management information systems degree from the University of South Florida.

Sawyer named outstanding 2015 CSR for Tennessee

The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research has announced Frannie Sawyer as its 2015 Outstanding Client Service Advisor of the Year for Tennessee.

Sawyer has been with The Crichton Group, Middle Tennessee’s largest independent insurance agency, since 2002 and is an account manager in the commercial lines department.

Sawyer receives a framed certificate, embossed with the special Outstanding CSR of the Year bronze medallion symbol, and is now one of the 35 individuals eligible for the national honor. The National Outstanding CSR of the Year Award carries a $2,000 cash prize and a scholarship for the recipient’s employer to any program offered by The National Alliance. The national winner also receives a distinctive gold and diamond lapel pin cast with the Outstanding CSR of the Year emblem. Additionally, the winner’s name will be inscribed on a sculpture permanently displayed at the national headquarters in Austin, Texas.

Mall at Green Hills hires marketing director

Elizabeth Pitcher has been named marketing and sponsorship director of The Mall at Green Hills. Pitcher brings nearly two decades of professional marketing and business development experience to her new position. She most recently served as vice president of marketing with Premier Exhibitions.

Thirty two community and business leaders from Middle Tennessee have graduated from Leadership Middle Tennessee, Inc., a regional leadership institute.
