NASHVILLE (AP) - A leading bakery products producer is investing $103 million to open a new manufacturing facility in Wilson County that's expected to create 147 jobs.

Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd announced this week that Maplehurst Bakeries LLC, a division of Weston Foods, will build the facility in Lebanon.

The company produces frozen bakery products, including doughnuts, pies, cake, rye bread, sweet goods and gluten-free baked goods, for in-store and food service bakeries.

The new facility is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2016. It will house warehouse, distribution and manufacturing operations for its doughnut production to service customers across North America and around the world.

Besides Tennessee, the company currently operates facilities in Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, New Hampshire, New York and Washington.
