Free Symphony Concerts. The Nashville Symphony has announced its free community concerts for 2015, featuring eight performances across the Middle Tennessee region during the month of June. Featuring works by Brahms, Bernstein, Sibelius, Copland, Gershwin and more, the community concerts deliver classical favorites in a casual setting at local parks. Fourth Annual Westhaven Porchfest

Westhaven’s 4th annual Porchfest, an art and music festival, is scheduled for 4-10 p.m. at the Westhaven community in West Franklin. Porchfest will include more than 100 performers from local and regional musical acts, playing on more than 26 porches in the Westhaven community throughout the event. The event is family friendly, open to the public and FREE of charge. Returning for a second year, a visual artist showcase has been included in the line-up to give concert-goers more options. Lantern Tour of Stones River National Cemetery

Stories taken from the letters and diaries of men who fought and died in the Civil War will be presented this summer at the Stones River National Battlefield. Join a park ranger for an hour-long walk by lantern light through the Stones River National Cemetery. Visitors will learn to look beyond the stones and into the stories of the men and women who felt the impact of war. This free program will also be offered June 20 at 7:45 p.m. Reservations are required and may be made beginning the Monday prior to the cemetery tour at 9 a.m. by calling the visitors center at (615) 893-9501. Reservations will not be taken in the visitor center or by email. There is a limit of four tickets per caller, and reservations are not transferrable. Comfortable walking shoes and insect repellent are recommended. Additional cemetery tours will be offered July 11 & July 25 at 7:45 p.m., August 8 & 22 at 7:30 p.m., Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 3 at 6:15 p.m.
