NASHVILLE (AP) — U.S. Rep. Jim Cooper's Nashville-based counsel is leaving to become chief deputy criminal court clerk of Davidson County.
Cooper announced this week that Alfred Degrafinreid will assume the top staff position for Davidson County Criminal Court Clerk Howard Gentry.
As Cooper's counsel, Degrafinreid coordinated community outreach and advised on housing matters, the music industry and other policy issues.
He is a graduate of Indiana University's Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
