The Picnic Tap, which offer craft beer – featuring a changing array of local and regional craft beers – growler fill-ups for take-home and a locally-sourced charcuterie-based menu, is scheduled to open at the Nashville Farmers' Market on October 2.
"We are excited to welcome The Picnic Tap to the Nashville Farmers' Market and the Nashville community," said Tasha Kennard, Executive Director, Nashville Farmers' Market. "This establishment will enhance the market experience while supporting the market's efforts to highlight local and regional farmers, crafters and artisans and support the market's ongoing efforts to establish itself as an evening destination."
Eric Woodard, local owner & operator of The Picnic Tap says: "As a long time home brewer and fan of craft beer, I've always loved places that showcase the beers of a particular city or region. I've thought about opening a place like The Picnic Tap for several years now - a very casual place where you can hang out, relax, and enjoy a local hand-crafted beer with friends.
“When we moved to Nashville in 2013 from Houston, Texas, I was really happy to discover Nashville's thriving microbrewery scene - with so many craft breweries right here in the city and surrounding areas producing dozens of high quality craft beers. We visited the Nashville Farmers' Market and I realized only one thing was missing--a genuine focus on locally and regionally-produced beers! The casual atmosphere and open space at NFM couldn't be a better fit for The Picnic Tap. We are very happy to be here and really look forward to becoming a part of the community."
Regular hours will be Monday-Wednesday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., and Thursday-Sunday, 11 a.m-8 p.m.
