NASHVILLE (AP) — Tennessee State University says Claude Humphrey, a former star defensive lineman who was recently inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, will serve as grand marshal for TSU's homecoming parade.

The university said Tuesday that Humphrey will take part in the Sept. 27 parade and will also be honored during the homecoming game later that evening against Florida A&M.

Humphrey was a three-time All-American defensive tackle at TSU from 1964 to 1967. He ended his college career as the all-time leader in sacks at TSU with 39. He is currently tied for second behind Lamar Carter along with fellow TSU and NFL legend Richard Dent.

A former Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles player, Humphrey was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame earlier this year.
