NASHVILLE (AP) - Tennessee state Sen. Jack Johnson is tapping yet another potential presidential candidate to headline his annual fundraising barbeque this summer.

Last year the Republican senator from Franklin brought in U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky to speak. This year it's going to be Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.

Johnson is the chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee and a prominent fundraiser. The event is scheduled to be held at the Factory in Franklin on July 13. Tickets are $50.

Tennessee Republicans have not voted for the eventual presidential nominee in the primary since giving the nod to President George W. Bush in 2004. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee won over U.S. Sen. John McCain in 2008, and former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum beat out former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in 2012.
