Two Nashville business executives, Richard Rogers and John Zobl, have been named to First Tennessee Bank’s Regional Advisory Board.

Rodgers is the chief operating officer of Foundations Recovery Network, a behavioral health care company that operates residential treatment centers and outpatient clinics across the country. He joined the company in 2007 as its chief financial officer and transitioned to his current role in 2011.

He has been involved in the leadership of growth companies for most of his career, in both operational and financial roles.

Zobl

Prior to joining Foundations, he was a partner and the chief financial officer of Clayton Associates, a Nashville venture capital firm focused on investing in early-stage, innovative health care companies. Rodgers holds a degree in corporate finance from the University of Alabama and an MBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is a non-practicing Certified Public Accountant.

Zobl is president and CEO of Betty Machine Company in Hendersonville, a position he has held for 14 years.

Zobl is serves on the boards of The Edison School - a school for learning-challenged children that he co-founded, the Hendersonville Industrial Development Board, the North Tennessee Workforce Board and Pope John Paul II High school. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin.

Girls on the Run hires executive director

Tiffany Patton has been hired as the executive director of Girls on the Run Nashville. Patton most recently served as director of community engagement at Big Brothers Big Sisters in Nashville.

Girls on the Run Nashville offers 12-week after-school programs each spring and fall. Using the power of running, trained coaches deliver curriculum to teach girls in third through eighth grades how to form positive relationships and live happy, healthy and active lives.

The organization has been in Nashville since 2007.

McNeely Pigott & Fox adds staff associates

McNeely Pigott & Fox Public Relations has added Richel Albright, Leslie Schichtel, Sarah de Jong and Jenny Pickard as the firm’s newest staff associates.

Albright, a Leiper’s Fork native, graduated with a degree in journalism and minors in global studies and political science from Middle Tennessee State University in 2012. Schichtel, a Florida native, graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Vanderbilt University in May 2012 with degrees in English and communication studies. She graduated from Northwestern University in December 2013 with a master’s degree in journalism with a specialization in interactive publishing.

Schichtel previously worked as a sports producer with NBCOlympics.com for London 2012. She has since worked as a freelance writer, contributing to such publications as Athlon Sports, ChicagoSide Sports and the Huffington Post. While at Vanderbilt, she interned in the communication departments of MTV Networks in New York City and CMT/MTV Networks in Nashville and in the marketing department of Nashville Lifestyles Magazine. During her years at Vanderbilt, Schichtel was co-director for “Morning VU” and was a sports copy editor and political writer for the Vanderbilt Hustler.

De Jong, a native of Nashville, graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama in December 2013 with a degree in communication, with a focus on public relations and event management. At UA, de Jong served as a contributing editor and writer for Platform Online Magazine and was on the media relations team for Capstone Agency, a public relations firm.

Pickard, a native of Huntsville, graduated from Auburn University with a degree in radio, television and film with a minor in marketing. While at Auburn, Pickard served as the assistant director of the University Programs Council’s Films Committee, where she budgeted, planned and executed free events for students on campus.

Paradigm Group hires 4 staff positions

Paradigm Group has added four employees to its staff, hiring Kelly Holt as well-being strategy consultant, Mike Kniery and Michele Watson as account managers, and Melissa Kim as an account advisor.

Holt joined Paradigm in February, bringing more than 12 years of experience in the insurance industry. Her experience includes helping companies increase and manage employee engagement in wellness programs, negotiating settlements on behalf of her company and managing and executing enrollment strategies for both new and renewal clients. She is a graduate of Western Kentucky.

Kniery is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in aerospace and a minor in insurance. He also holds a master’s degree in healthcare informatics and computing from Lipscomb University.

Kim has worked in the insurance industry since 2011. Her responsibilities have included providing comprehensive support for 25 accounts relating to benefits administration and implementation of insurance software and technology. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in business management.

Watson brings 14 years of experience in the employee benefits industry to Paradigm. Her experience includes creating and implementing marketing workflows with expertise in Brokerage Builder. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in business administration.
