NASHVILLE (AP) - The district attorney's office is declining to prosecute former Tennessee linebacker Keith Bulluck on felony robbery charges.
Nashville district attorney's office spokeswoman Susan Niland said in an email that prosecutors were concerned by inconsistencies between the alleged victim's statements and those of independent eye witnesses.
Prosecutors announced their decision at a hearing in General Sessions court on Friday.
A cab driver had accused Bulluck of taking a $100 bill as the driver waited outside a bar last month for a paid fare. Bulluck said the incident was a misunderstanding in which he took back money when he didn't get the service he wanted.
Bulluck retired in 2012 after 11 seasons in the NFL.
He was replaced as a TV analyst for the Titans' preseason finale following Aug. 25 arrest.
