Agencies in Nashville and Jackson, Miss., have sealed a partnership agreement designed to grow their business in public relations, marketing, advertising and branding.
In the shared-services agreement announced Friday, Deane, Smith and Partners of Nashville and Mad Genius of Jackson will collaborate on projects in the Southeast and nationwide.
Under the agreement, the two companies will have more than 30 employees staffing four offices nationwide. The partnership allows both agencies to expand upon work in their headquarters markets.
Deane, Smith and Partners recently opened an office in Jackson.
"We are progressively expanding our agency in the Southeast and nationwide, and this partnership is the perfect fusion of creativity, innovation and thought leadership that delivers a whole new generation of branding," said Jackson native Todd Smith, president and chief communications officer of DS&P.
DS&P, which creates strategic branding campaigns for numerous Jackson clients including the Butler Snow law firm, Faces Clinic and Waggoner Engineering, was founded in 1999 by Washington, D.C. political and media veterans Silas Deane and Todd Smith.
Other major clients include the National Foundation for Cancer Research, Electrolux, the Hutton Hotel, Healthcare Information Management Systems Society, Baden Supply, the Buffkin Group, Cybera Inc., Microsoft Health and the Sumner County Board of Education.
Mad Genius began in Ridgeland, Miss., in 2005. It focuses on design, print, digital and video production. The firm's client base includes companies in insurance, education, sporting goods, banks, sports drinks, major food brands, restaurants, hospitals, and more. Among them are Bomgar, Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company, Fastenal, Primos Hunting, and Bruce Foods.
