BNA, Tune, Smyrna, Dickson among airports sharing $14.2M

NASHVILLE (AP) - Nashville International Airport, John C. Tune, Smyrna and Dickson airports are among 18 Tennessee airports sharing $14.2 million in federal and state grants, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.

The grants are made available through the department's Aeronautics Division, which administers funding to help in the location, design, construction and maintenance of Tennessee's public aviation system.

Other airports receiving grants include the Tennessee Wing of the Civil Air Patrol in Alcoa, Tri-Cities Regional Airport in Blountville, Lovell Field in Chattanooga, Mark Anton Airport in Dayton, Elizabethton Municipal Airport, Greeneville-Greene County Municipal Airport, McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport in Jackson, Brown Field in Jasper, Downtown Island Airport and McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville, Lawrenceburg-Lawrence County Airport, Moore-Murrell Field in Morristown, Abernathy Field in Pulaski and Tullahoma Regional Airport.
