Tennessee Chamber to host business tax seminar

NASHVILLE (AP) - The Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and Industry is hosting a seminar Tuesday for businesses on important changes to Tennessee tax law.

Topics include electronic filing requirements, the food sales tax reduction, changes to franchise tax provisions, the professional privilege tax, Hall income tax exemptions, taxation of green energy production facilities and tax credits in adventure tourism districts.

Representatives from the Tennessee state comptroller's office will make the presentations and will also be available to answer questions.

The seminar takes place on Tuesday at the Millennium Maxwell House Nashville. The cost is $199 for chamber members and $245 for nonmembers.

The tax update seminar is approved for both continuing professional education and continuing legal education credits.
