Ramsey named to executive committee of RLGA

NASHVILLE (AP) — Tennessee Senate Speaker Ron Ramsey is joining the executive committee of the Republican Lieutenant Governors Association.
The Blountville Republican was named this week during the association's annual leadership meeting in Washington.
Ramsey became the first Republican Senate speaker since Reconstruction when he was elected to the position in 2007.
The RLGA is devoted to raising money and assisting Republicans in their campaigns for lieutenant governor.
