NASHVILLE (AP) - State officials say auto valve and sensor maker Schrader Electronics is expanding its facility in Springfield and adding 76 manufacturing jobs.
Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty said in a statement that the company's expansion represents an investment of $10 million.
Schrader makes pneumatic tire valves and tire pressure monitoring systems for the automobile industry.
Jared Smalley Jr., general manager of Schrader Electronics, said the company was excited to be moving toward building all of its North American vehicle products in Springfield.
Margot Fosnes, president of the Robertson County Chamber of Commerce, said Schrader's expansion is a positive endorsement of the county's business climate and work force.
