CapWealth names Venable president, COO

Independent investment advisory firm CapWealth Advisors LLC has selected Phoebe J. Venable to be its president and chief operating officer.

Venable joined the organization in March of 2011 as managing principal, working alongside Tim Pagliara and a staff of 12. Earlier this year, Barron’s magazine named the firm the No. 1 investment advisory firm in Tennessee.

Venable holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and came to CapWealth from the Nashville office of GenSpring Family Offices, an independent wealth management firm for ultra-high-net-worth families. She also has served as managing director of private wealth management for SunTrust Banks, after having served a number of years as an investment portfolio manager and private client advisor.

RPM Transportation adds to engineering staff

RPM Transportation Consultants, LLC, a transportation planning and traffic engineering firm headquartered in Nashville, has added four professionals to its team of engineers and planners.

The firm has hired two professional engineers, Lee Bogle and Brandon Taylor, as well as engineering interns Tyler Fosnes and Najmeh Jami.

Bogle will assume the role of project engineer with the firm and will work with the RPM team on a variety of traffic studies, safety analysis, and transportation design plans the firm is completing. Prior to joining RPM, Bogle worked as a project manager for a national transportation firm. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in civil engineering. He also earned a degree from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s in aerospace technology.

Taylor is a project engineer. Prior to joining RPM, Taylor worked with an international consulting firm. Taylor is an expert in roundabout design and also specializes in traffic signal design, highway design and traffic modeling. He earned a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky.

Fosnes is an engineer intern. In this role, Fosnes will perform road safety audits and draft recommendations for the firm’s transportation plans. He is a graduate of Maryville College, where he earned a degree in engineering.

Jami will assume the role of engineer intern. In this position, Jami will provide both safety and traffic modeling analysis for the firm. Prior to joining RPM, Jami worked with the Intermodal Freight Transportation Institute in Memphis as a research associate. She is a graduate of the University of Memphis with a master’s degree in Civil Engineering.

New hires push CapStar past 100-employee mark

CapStar has announced new fourth quarter hires to accommodate growth in the areas of finance, operations, credit and retail.

Rhonda Carr has been appointed controller within the Finance Department. She is responsible for internal and external financial reporting and all other financial reconciliations of bank operations.

Carr served as regulatory reporting manager for Pinnacle Bank and vice president and controller for Reliant Bank.

Travis J. Hailey has joined CapStar as senior accountant. Hailey was most recently at Fifth Third Bank in mortgage sales and has served as assistant controller and intermediate accountant at Reliant Bank.

Jason Adams is a new portfolio manager/underwriter in CapStar’s credit department. He will be located in the Brentwood office supporting the Commercial Real Estate Group.

John Markham joins CapStar as a porfolio manager and credit analyst. He will be located downtown where he will support the Commercial Finance Group.

Amy Brown is a deposit operations and compliance specialist who joins CapStar after an eight-year tenure at American Security Bank & Trust, which merged with CapStar in July.

Lisa Rouwenhorst joins CapStar as a customer service representative supporting the bank’s private banking and the sports and entertainment divisions.

Three new Financial Service Representatives have joined CapStar to support its retail operations. Neoma Caldwell, David Waddell and Cole Norris.

Krantz, Teague join Pinnacle Financial

Mona Krantz and Sarah Teague are now with Pinnacle Financial Partners’ downtown Nashville office at Pinnacle at Symphony Place.

Krantz joins Pinnacle as a credit specialist. She brings a 25-year career from Closing & Title Services Inc. (formerly East End Title & Escrow Inc.), where she served as vice president, closing processor and office manager.

Teague, with 13 years of experience at First Tennessee Bank, is a credit analyst. Roles with First Tennessee include serving as vice president and portfolio manager in its corporate healthcare division and as credit production manager and lead credit analyst for the Middle and East Tennessee regions.

Centerstone promotes Evans to clinic manager

Centerstone, a not-for-profit provider of community-based mental health and addiction services, has promoted Stephanie Evans to clinic manager for the organization’s Gallatin and Springfield offices. Evans previously served as a crisis specialist for Centerstone’s Mobile Crisis Response Team.

As clinic manager, Evans will oversee all clinical activities provided by outpatient staff at Centerstone’s Gallatin and Springfield offices.

Parthenon Pavilion adds neuropsychiatrist

Alan Lynch, M.D., a board-certified neuropsychiatrist, has joined TriStar Parthenon Pavilion. Lynch will practice with Centennial Psychiatric Associates, part of TriStar Medical Group, in Nashville.

Lynch earned his medical degree from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He then completed a psychiatry residency and fellowship in addiction psychiatry at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Lynch is certified in psychiatry and addiction psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and holds professional certifications in addiction medicine and behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry.

Boys & Girls Clubs hires development officer

Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee has hired John D. Winnett as chief development & external affairs officer.

Winnett previously served as chief development & external affairs officer at Nashville CARES. He has more than 10 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, public relations, media affairs, and government relations. Prior to Nashville CARES, he served in various other nonprofit leadership roles including: vice president of development marketing & PR for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City; director of development & external relations for St. Paul’s Episcopal Day School in Kansas City, Mo., marketing, pr and fundraising consultant for Pennington & Company in Lawrence, Kan.; and executive director of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity’s Endowment Fund (Foundation) in Charlottesville, VA.

Dodson Parker adds new associate

The Nashville law firm of Dodson Parker Behm & Capparella, PC, has added Jillian Mastroianni as its newest associate. Mastroianni will focus her practice on business entities, business succession planning, and trust and estate matters.

Mastroianni attended Vanderbilt Law School, where she was awarded the James W. Cuminale Book Award for excellence in the study of corporations and business entities. During law school, she interned for the Honorable Jennifer Coffman, chief judge of the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky.

Mastroianni began her undergraduate studies at Stanford University and received her B.A. degree in Russian language and literature from Dartmouth College, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude. While at Dartmouth, Mastroianni was named a Rufus Choate Scholar and was awarded the Pray Modern Language Prize.

An accomplished runner, Mastroianni won eight New York state high school titles and was part of a Stanford team that took third place at the NCAA Championships.

Habitat for Humanity announces promotions

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville, an ecumenical Christian ministry that provides the opportunity for people to purchase and own quality, affordable homes, has promoted four. They are:

Mike Allen, who has been promoted to director of faith relations and development team leader. Allen has been with Habitat of Greater Nashville for more than five years, serving in various roles including director of volunteer relations.

Louis Turner has been promoted to staff accountant and grant specialist. Turner started at Habitat two years ago in the accounting department. In addition to his accounting duties, he is responsible for writing government grants for the agency.

Christopher “Todd” Bilbrey has been promoted to ReStore administrator. Bilbrey has been employed by Habitat for three years previously as sales associate and donation truck driver. His primary responsibilities will be scheduling, accounting and sales.

Jason Hickok has been hired as a ReStore sales associate and donation pickup driver.

McNeely Pigott & Fox adds staff associate

McNeely Pigott & Fox Public Relations has added Tara Knott as the firm’s newest staff associate.

Knott, a native of Geneva, Ill., will graduate from Belmont University in May 2013 with a degree in journalism and a minor in public relations. She is a member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society and received the Lovell Ethics Advocacy Award from Belmont’s public relations department.

She first joined McNeely Pigott & Fox as an intern in May 2012 and has worked with clients including BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, CSX, AT&T and Nashville Electric Service. Prior to her internship at MP&F, Knott completed several other internships, most recently at Glass America, where she conducted research and wrote news releases for national distribution.
