NASHVILLE (AP) - Women's Running Magazine has picked Nashville's Warner Parks as one of the top five trail running destinations in the country.

The magazine said the location offers tree-covered hills, Tennessee wildflowers, spring crossings and open fields.

The publication also recommended the Nashville area's Natchez Trace trails.

The other four top spots are Eugene, Ore.; the Adirondack Mountains' high peaks region, Santa Fe, N.M.; and the upper peninsula of Michigan.

Criteria were trails diverse to challenge any level of runner, a strong sense of community and amenities such as coffee shops, fun attractions and cross-training activities.
