Commission offers $5,000 fellowships to artists

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Arts Commission is recognizing the state's professional artists.

The group is providing fellowships of $5,000 to outstanding artists who live and work in Tennessee. No specific project has to be carried out with the funds.

The deadline to apply is January 23.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and be legal Tennessee residents.
