NASHVILLE (AP) — A Nashville woman has been sentenced to three years in prison for health care fraud amounting to $650,000.

Federal prosecutors said 37-year-old Candyce Jones defrauded Medicare and TennCare by submitting fraudulent claims from 2005 through 2008.

Officials said she used $86,000 of the money to purchase real estate in Nashville. Jones was former owner of the now defunct Merrilee, a health care services company.
