Nashville, Memphis arenas among tops for concerts

NASHVILLE (AP) — Bridgestone Arena in Nashville ranks ninth in the United States and 23rd in the world for concert ticket sales at mid-year.

The arena said in a news release Monday that the Pollstar concert business publication reported 189,077 ticket sales for the period.

Events at the downtown facility during the period included concerts by Brad Paisley, Rush, Sugarland, Lady Gaga, Bob Seger, Taylor Swift and Jimmy Buffet.

FedExForum in Memphis ranked 75th worldwide with 73,312 concert tickets sold.
