NASHVILLE (AP) — Officials at the Nashville International Airport on Tuesday will celebrate its terminal renovation.
The work included improvements to the baggage claim, enlargement of the ticket lobby, construction of new restrooms and renovating existing ones. The work began in June 2009.
The terminal will be named in memory of Robert C.H. Mathews Jr., former chairman of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority.
The airport is served by nine airlines and offers some 360 daily arriving and departing flights for its 8.9 million yearly passengers. Flights go to 66 markets.
