Christmas Village. Christmas Village is one of the oldest charitable events in Nashville, supported and run entirely by volunteers from the Nashville Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club. Approximately 250 merchants and 30,000 shoppers from all over the United States participate in this consumer show. A variety of seasonal and gift items are offered, including toys for all ages, clothing for children and adults, jewelry, home decor, food items, pottery, collectibles and unusual pieces. Proceeds support Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center, patients recovering from traumatic brain injury at the Vanderbilt Pi Beta Phi Rehabilitation Institute and aspiring artists at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg. Zoolumination Opening Weekend

This walkthrough attraction is the country’s largest Chinese lantern festival featuring more than 1,000 custom-made silk lanterns, holiday-themed scenes, decorated displays, entertainers and more. The Smashville Ice Rink is new in 2024, with attendees having the option to purchase tickets to skate beneath the lantern-lit skies. Santa will visit each night Nov. 29-Dec. 24. Lotz House 160th Anniversary of the Battle of Franklin

The Lotz House will host a walking battlefield tour in the morning and an illumination ceremony on the front lawn of the home, ground zero of the Battle of Franklin, at 4:30 p.m., the time the battle ensued. In addition, celebrate the birthday of Matilda Lotz, who turned 6 the day before the battle. Thomas Cartwright will lead the walking battlefield tour Saturday, Nov. 30, 10:30 a.m. The Lotz House also will offer a special walking battlefield tour of Spring Hill led by historian Jamie Gillum Nov. 29 at noon at Brown and Denning Lane, south of Spring Hill, to commemorate that historic battle that led to the Battle of Franklin.
