They say the bye week never comes at a bad time in the NFL.

The Titans heading into an off week after Monday night’s game in Miami, which when the schedule was released looked too early to provide much benefit.

Wrong. Win or lose on South Beach Monday night, that off week might be coming at the perfect time for a team that needs to find some sort of confidence again after a terrible start to the season.

“We’re going to keep working every day to try to make it happen next week,” beleaguered quarterback Will Levis said after the team’s loss to Green Bay. “We recuperate on the bye week and then have a great last 14 weeks of the season

This is a team that is desperately searching for answers in a season filled with turnovers and sacks plus plenty of problems on defense and special teams.

After all, it’s not a good sign when a quarterback that you cast aside for a measly seventh-round pick carves you up the way Malik Willis did Sunday.

Usually, during the bye week, teams self-scout and try to find areas where they need to make improvements. The Titans won’t have to look very long to find plenty that needs to be repaired.

“End of the day, I’ve not done a good enough job. We’re an 0-3 football team,” head coach Brian Callahan says. “I’m an 0-3 head coach. It’s embarrassing and disappointing. I’ve got to be a lot better than I’ve been and this is frustrating and unfortunate and not what I thought we were capable of to start the season.”
