The Predators have enjoyed some time at home lately, but they are set to head out on the road for seven of the 10 games they have remaining in January.

First Period

Back-to-back games Friday (1/12) at the Dallas Stars and back home Saturday (1/13) against the New York Islanders are on tap this week. It will be the second trip to Dallas in less than a week, after the Predators took down the Stars 4-3 Saturday, thanks in large part to a pair of goals from Forsberg. The Islanders are coached by former Predators assistant Lane Lambert, and it was also Trotz’s last coaching stop before eventually transitioning to the general manager’s job.

Second Period

The Predators then set out on the road for an MLK Monday game in Vegas against the defending Stanley Cup champion Golden Knights. The Golden Knights are off to a strong start to the season, battling with the Vancouver Canucks for the top spot in the Pacific Division.

Third Period

The Preds round out the three-game roadie with games in Los Angeles and Arizona. Both teams have played well this season, and next Saturday’s game against the Coyotes will come with the unique experience of playing in the smallest arena in the league.

The arena-challenged Coyotes are playing their second season at Arizona State University’s Mullett Arena, with a capacity of just 5,000 fans. The Coyotes could also be one of the teams the Predators are battling with for a postseason wild card berth.
