NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Music City Bowl will have a new title sponsor in TransPerfect starting in 2020 when the bowl pits teams from the Southeastern Conference and Big Ten.
The multi-year deal announced Wednesday replaces Franklin American Mortgage with TransPerfect, a company that specializes in translation services and technologies with 6,000 employees worldwide.
Scott Ramsey, president and CEO of the Music City Bowl, says they are thrilled to start a new chapter in 2020 with TransPerfect and a six-year deal with the SEC and Big Ten starting.
The bowl will pick an SEC team after the College Football Playoffs, New Year's Six bowls and the Citrus Bowl's selections. Music City will pick after the College Football Playoffs and New Year's Six, the Citrus and Outback bowls in 2020, 2022 and 2024 and share the third and fourth selections with the Las Vegas Bowl in 2021, 2023 and 2025.
This year's bowl will be played Dec. 29 at Nissan Stadium, home to the NFL's Tennessee Titans.
