NASHVILLE (AP) — Tennessee's Board of Regents said it plans to provide updates on tuition-free college programs and fees for students at community colleges at a meeting later this month.
The body that governs Tennessee's college system said in a statement Thursday that it is meeting March 21 in Nashville.
Board members are expected to receive reports on students in the Tennessee Promise and Tennessee Reconnect programs. The programs provide tuition-free community or technical college attendance for new high school graduates and adults without college degrees.
The board also will act on recommendations for changes in student fees requested by Chattanooga State, Dyersburg State, Jackson State, Pellissippi State, Volunteer State and Motlow State community colleges.
Regents also will vote to appoint a new president at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Pulaski.
