Governor reappoints TBI director Mark Gwyn
NASHVILLE (AP) — Gov. Bill Haslam has reappointed Mark Gwyn as director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
The 53-year-old Gwyn was first appointed as TBI director in 2004.
Haslam announced the reappointment on Monday and said under Gwyn's leadership, the TBI has expanded resources and embraced technology to enhance the agency's investigating strengths.
Gwyn joined the TBI as an agent in 1988 after serving as a patrol officer for the McMinnville Police Department. He also led the TBI's Forensic Services Division and served as its executive officer.
