'Be Nice' campaign could become state license plate
FRANKLIN (AP) — A Nashville-area school district's "Be Nice" anti-bullying campaign could be about to spread all the way to state license plates.
The Tennessean (http://tnne.ws/1RpIn3A ) reports that Tennessee license plates emblazoned with the Williamson County school district's "Be Nice" logo are being offered as part of an online presale for $36.05.
Twelve dollars of each purchase will go to a Williamson County public school of the buyer's choice, with the funds to be used to promote the anti-bullying campaign.
The district must pre-sell at least 1,000 license plates by Nov.1 to begin production.
Kenrose Elementary School parent Carla Green says she worked with state Sen. Jack Johnson of Franklin to get the license plate approved by the state legislature.
