Nashville's 87 degrees breaks record
NASHVILLE (AP) - Meteorologists have announced that temperatures in Nashville reached a record-high for March 15.
The Tuesday afternoon temperature of 87 degrees, recorded just after 3 p.m. at Nashville International Airport, broke the city's record.
Meteorologists with the National Weather Service say the previous record for March 15 topped out at 82 degrees in 2012.
Forecasts for Wednesday were cooler, although still unseasonably warm. The high is anticipated to be in the lower 70s with the low in the upper 60s.
