Roberts

Change Healthcare, a provider of software and analytics, network solutions and technology-enabled services designed to enable smarter health care, has hired Keith Roberts as vice president of engagement solutions.

Roberts will be responsible for enhancing the company’s health shopping platform, which helps health plans and employers give their members and employees a place to compare cost and quality for healthcare services online so that they can make more informed purchases.

Roberts previously held a variety of executive and consulting roles in the health care, analytics and behavioral economics fields. Most recently, he served as vice president of engagement strategy and consulting at RedBrick Health.

Roberts holds a degree in finance, investment and banking and risk management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from Marquette University.

DWP Live hires Darling to lead laser scanning

Darling

Ryan Darling has joined DWP Live as director of 3D laser scanning. Darling is responsible for building DWP Live’s newfound laser scanning division, which will work closely with the company’s projection mapping unit, the core of DWP Live’s technological and creative abilities.

In 2015, DWP Live helped execute many high-profile projection mapping projects, including pieces for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals launch, the World Meeting of Families with Pope Francis in Philadelphia and Adele Live in New York City at Radio City Music Hall.

Darling joins DWP Live from Darling Geomatics in Tucson, Arizona, where he’s worked since 2002, most recently as vice president of 3D technologies.

While at Darling Geomatics, Darling managed hundreds of 3D laser scanning projects – also known as high definition surveying projects – for many industries, including mining, power generation, power distribution, defense, wastewater, airports, manufacturing, construction, oil and gas, chemical, civil, forensics, historical documentation, sports broadcast and entertainment.

Young Leaders Council announces 2016 board

Young Leaders Council, a Nashville-based nonprofit organization that has trained more than 2,000 men and women to effectively participate on the boards of nonprofit agencies for the past 31 years, has announced its board of directors for 2016.

The elected officers are: Jordan Waldron (Crosslin & Associates, PLLC), chair; Cyrus Farhangi (Deloitte & Touche LLP), treasurer; John Byers (Aon), secretary; and Santi Tefel (Avenue Bank), chair-elect.

Since 1985, Young Leaders Council has been the premier organization for training nonprofit board members in the Nashville area and was created by the Council of Community Services, the HCA Foundation and the United Way to address the need to broaden and strengthen Nashville’s volunteer leadership base. To date, more than 2,000 men and women have completed the 11-week training program and serve on the boards of 150 local nonprofit agencies.

TSU hires associate dean of College of Engineering

Frances Williams, Ph.D., is the new associate dean for graduate studies and research in the College of Engineering and professor of electrical and computer engineering at Tennessee State University.

In her new role, Williams will manage the graduate programs, provide oversight and coordinate research grants and contracts, as well as identify and initiate new research opportunities and collaborative partnerships for the college.

Before coming to TSU, Williams was a faculty member and director of the Center for Materials Research at Norfolk State University. She also was the director of Norfolk State’s Micro- and Nano-technology Center Cleanroom, a premiere research facility for fabricating micro- and nano-scale devices.

Her research focus is in the areas of advanced materials and devices, biosensors, and nano- and micro-electromechanical systems processing and devices. She has received grants totaling $14 million as a principal investigator or co-principal investigator. In 2010 she received a U.S. patent for developing a micromachined sensor for monitoring electrochemical deposition.

Williams has received various awards including the 2013 State Council of Higher Education for Virginia Outstanding Faculty Award, the highest faculty award given out by the state. In 2012, she was named an “Emerging Scholar” by Diverse Issues in Higher Education magazine. She also received Norfolk State’s top distinguished faculty award, the University Award of Excellence in 2010.

Williams holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, and a Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from the Georgia Tech.

Moses named president of family law organization

Marlene Eskind Moses, a founding manager of MTR Family Law, PLLC, has been elected president of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL) USA Chapter.

Previously known as the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, IAFL is a worldwide association of practicing lawyers who are recognized by their peers as the most experienced and expert family law specialists in their respective countries; membership is by invitation.

IAFL was formed in 1986 as the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers to improve the practice of law and administration of justice in the area of divorce and family law throughout the world. The USA Chapter currently has more than 300 Fellows from 38 states.

Moses is a past-president of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) and was awarded the organization’s Outstanding Fellow of the Year Award. She is a Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Association Foundation and the Nashville Bar Association Foundation. She is a Diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers and serves on its Executive Committee.

Moses graduated from Tulane University and earned her law degree from the Nashville School of Law.

Nashville ad agency hires industry veteran

James

Nashville-area ad agency Boyden & Youngblutt has added Clayton James as president and executive creative director.

Clayton has called Nashville home for the past five years, moving with his family from Las Vegas and spent three years as senior vice president and deputy creative director at Buntin Group. Most recently, he completed a two-year run at Griffin Technology as executive creative director, where he led a rebranding effort while restructuring the in-house creative department.

Ingram announces 3 executive promotions

Letson

Ingram Content Group has announced the promotion of three executives.

Jacqueline Letson has been promoted to vice president of human resources. She joined Ingram in 2004 and most recently served as a director of human resources.

Letson holds a master’s in organizational leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University, a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown College and she is a certified senior professional in human resources.

Bell

Michael Bell has been named director of national accounts, overseeing the strategic planning and selling activities for the national accounts, internet accounts, mass merchant wholesalers and associated suppliers. Previously, he was the director of consumer direct fulfillment for Ingram.

Bell earned an MBA and his certificate in executive leadership from Belmont University and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee.

Weiss

Emily Weiss, APR, has been promoted to director, corporate communications. She is responsible for leading Ingram’s global internal and external communication initiatives. She joined Ingram in January 2013 as senior manager, communications & PR.

Prior to joining Ingram, Weiss was PR manager with Dollar General Corp. She’s also held communication roles with Atlanta-based PR firm communications 21 and the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association. Weiss earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama.

Coppens leads media relations, event planning and materials development efforts for a number of client teams, including the Nashville Public Education Foundation, STARS and the U.S. Department of Labor’s Job Corps program. August 2014 marked the beginning of her second stint with MP&F, where she began her professional career in 2011. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in public relations.

Albright works with national and local clients, including the U.S. Department of Labor’s Job Corps program, WGU Tennessee, the Ohio Valley Conference and CSX Transportation. A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, Albright joined MP&F in 2014.

McRae has a lead role on several accounts, including the Transit Alliance of Middle Tennessee, Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage, the Nashville Public Library Foundation, Cantina Laredo and the U.S. Department of Labor’s Job Corps program. Before moving to Nashville, she worked in the marketing department at Penguin Random House in New York City after graduating from the Columbia Publishing Course.

Pickard’s experience includes video production, event planning, media relations, advertising campaigns, materials development and website development for a variety of client teams, including the U.S. Department of Labor’s Job Corps program, Amazon, Skanska, Griffin Technology and the American Contract Bridge League. She joined MP&F in 2014 after graduating from Auburn University.
