Chandra N.T. Flint, member at Neal & Harwell, PLC, has been selected as a member of the 2016 class of fellows, participating in a landmark program created by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity to identify, train, and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession.

The LCLD Fellows Program offers participants “an extraordinarily rich year of relationship-building, virtual and in-person training, peer-group projects, and extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership,” says LCLD President Robert J. Grey, Jr.

Flint has been with the firm since 2004. Her practice focuses on family law and criminal and civil litigation. She earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2004 and her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.

Ingram Content Group names Roseman VP-retail

Ingram Content Group has hired Donald Roseman as vice president of retail.

In this newly created position, Roseman will focus on Ingram’s overall retail business, including national accounts, clubs, field sales, consumer direct fulfillment and Ingram International.

Roseman previously was with Goodbaby International Holdings, where he served as general manager and senior vice president of sales and business development. He has experience, both nationally and internationally, leading sales teams who worked with such retailers as Walmart, Costco, Sears and Toys-R-Us.

Roseman holds a degree in sales and marketing from Bob Jones University.

Bradshaw named president of First Freedom Bank

John Bradshaw has been named president and COO of First Freedom Bank. He previously was executive vice president and COO.

Bradshaw was instrumental in the organization of First Freedom and served as an original organizer and board member. In addition to COO, he serves as First Freedom’s chief lending officer.

He has more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of banking, having previously served as senior vice president of First Tennessee Bank, N.A. in Lebanon.

A lifelong resident of Lebanon, Bradshaw graduated from Castle Heights Military Academy and received his Bachelor of Science degree in finance at the University of Tennessee. He earned his Masters of Business Administration from Cumberland University. He is a graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Banking and the Tennessee Commercial School of Banking at Vanderbilt University.

Bradshaw is past Chairman and Ambassador Vice Chair of the Board for the Lebanon/Wilson County Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Health and Education Board of Wilson County. He is a member of the Lebanon Rotary Club, and has volunteered with Middle Tennessee Junior Achievement as an adult leader/teacher with students at Lebanon High School. He is a past board member of the American Heart Association, the Empower Me Day Camp, and Leadership Wilson Alumni Board. He graduated from the inaugural class of Leadership Wilson in 1994.

Bradshaw and his wife Karen have been married for over twenty-five years and have three children. They are active members of the First United Methodist Church in Lebanon.

Fifth Third Bank names Pinson treasury officer

Brad Pinson recently joined Fifth Third Bank’s Payments & Commerce Division as vice president/treasury management officer for the Tennessee region, focusing on middle market companies and corporations across various industry verticals that are seeking solutions to improve treasury management processes.

Pinson has 12 years of experience in the financial services industry and previously served as vice president/business banking relationship manager for Fifth Third Bank Tennessee. He holds a degree in speech communication from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

Capella Healthcare names national advisory board

Capella Healthcare’s new National Advisory Board of Directors has been appointed, with founder Dan Slipkovich named as chair. The Board includes representatives from communities served by Capella, including hospital board chairs, physicians and hospital leaders as well as other prominent industry leaders.

Wiechart

Slipkovich, a founder of the company in 2005, served as CEO from 2005-2013 then as executive board chair. He has more than 35 years of hospital experience.

Hughart named VUMC director of informatics

Karen Hughart, MSN, R.N., has been named senior director of Nursing Informatics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Hughart is a longtime nurse who joined Vanderbilt in 1977 and has worked in a number of roles, including managing a pediatric oncology and cardiology unit before delving into informatics.

She was most recently director of Systems Support Services.

In her new role, Hughart will lead the nursing enterprise in implementing new clinical systems in a partnership with clinical leaders throughout.

Ayre

Hughart’s new role expands her prior focus on inpatient units to include outpatient clinical systems, and it comes at a time when Vanderbilt is poised to overhaul key clinical, administrative and billing software to the latest technology, a process called Clinical Systems 2.0.

Also, Christin Ayre, MSN, R.N., has been named the associate director of Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Patient Flow Center.

Ayre, who joined Vanderbilt in 2006, was most recently the manager of the Neurology/Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit.

The Patient Flow Center is charged with providing solutions for managing the complexity of daily patient flow activities, as well as developing and facilitating patient flow improvement opportunities in coordination with operational leadership.

Council on Aging names Smith executive director

The Council on Aging of Middle Tennessee has hired Grace Smith as its new executive director.

Smith has more than two decades of experience in senior advocacy and is a longtime volunteer of COA. She served as chair of the COA Leadership Council and was most recently vice president of the board.

Smith is a licensed master social worker and was a program manager for the Meharry Consortium Geriatric Education Center. She sat on the board of the National Association for Geriatric Education and led the Mental Health Association’s geriatric outreach and caregiver support programs.

Insurance commissioners groups elects McPeak VP

Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance Commissioner Julie Mix McPeak has won election as vice president of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), the nation’s insurance regulatory support organization.

The NAIC is the U.S. standard-setting and regulatory support organization created and governed by the chief insurance regulators from the 50 states, the District of Columbia and the five U.S. territories. Through the NAIC, state insurance regulators establish standards and best practices, conduct peer review, and coordinate regulatory oversight.

An active NAIC participant for nearly 20 years, McPeak has served on the NAIC’s Executive Committee since 2013. McPeak, who was formerly Kentucky’s lead insurance regulator, was appointed as the Department’s Commissioner by Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam in 2011. She was reappointed to her post in 2015.

McPeak has more than 20 years of legal and administrative experience in state government and is the first woman to serve as chief insurance regulator in more than one state. She is a 1994 graduate of the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. She holds a degree in marketing from the University of Kentucky.

Daniel previously was an assistant account executive at Fluent360, where she had responsibilities for multicultural accounts for Nissan/Infiniti. She has a degree in international relations/international business from the Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina in Brazil and has participated in an international business program at the College of Charleston.

Fifth Third taps Brown as mortgage sales manager

Tony Brown has been promoted to assistant vice president and area sales manager for Fifth Third Bank’s Tennessee mortgage group.

In his new role, he manages a team of bankers providing home financing solutions such as conventional, FHA, VA, USDA and jumbo mortgages.

Brown, who has 25 years of mortgage industry experience, most recently worked as a national direct channel mortgage loan originator for Fifth Third Bank’s Cincinnati region. He has a degree in Business degree from Wright State University.
