Tennessee November revenue collections more than $902M

NASHVILLE (AP) — Tennessee Finance Commissioner Larry Martin says the state's general fund tax collections in November were $42.6 million higher than projected.

Martin said in a news release on Tuesday that November revenue collections were $902.6 million, which is 9.6 percent more than November 2014.

November is the fourth month in the 2015-2016 fiscal year.

Sales tax collections were $34.6 million more than expected, a growth of 7 percent.

Corporate franchise and excise collections were $41.1 million, which is $4.9 million more than projected.
