Caputo appointed to American Chamber post

Caputo

Christopher M. Caputo of Baker Donelson has been appointed by the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy as the organization’s local representative in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana and Tennessee.

As the local representative in these states, Caputo will work to promote commerce between Italian businesses and businesses in the southeastern United States. One of his principal functions will be to assist Italian businesses in potential investments and strategic partnerships within the region.

He will serve in this role for a two-year term subject to further renewal.

A shareholder in Baker Donelson’s Nashville and Memphis offices, Caputo represents Italian and other multinational corporations in the establishment and operation of their businesses in the Southeast. In this practice, Caputo assists Italian and other foreign clients in all areas relevant to the commencement and operation of a business in the United States.

Tennessee Road Builders announce 2015-16 board

The Tennessee Road Builders Association has elected a new board of directors to serve the organization in 2015-16. It includes:

Nashville Chamber hires VP for investor relations

Chinn

Kate Sherrard Chinn will join the Nashville Area Chamber as vice president of investor relations.

Chinn previously served as senior director of marketing for Rockefeller Center in New York. In her role for the Chamber, Chinn will ensure financial goals are met for the Chamber’s Partnership 2020 economic prosperity initiative, including new investor sales, investor retention and ongoing engagement strategies. She will also be responsible for securing financial commitments for the next five-year Partnership 2020 strategy, which will begin implementation in July 2016. Her first day at the Chamber will be August 17.

The Chamber also has announced three promotions:

Tara Moore has been promoted to director of events and sponsorship fulfillment. Moore has been a part of the Chamber team since 2006, most recently serving as director of events in which she was responsible for the strategy and execution of all Chamber events.

Courtney Cotton has been promoted to art director for the Chamber. She previously served in the role of graphic designer and project manager. In her new role, Cotton will lead the Chamber’s brand management efforts, including the development of standards and adherence to brand objectives across the organization.

Paige Anderson has been promoted to manager of events. Since 2012, Anderson has served as coordinator of events, where she gained expertise and leadership abilities executing more than 100 events per year. In her new role, she will be responsible for logistics and execution of the Chamber’s signature events, including Nashville Emerging Leader Awards, Annual Meeting, NEXT Awards, Education Report Card and Governor’s Address. She will also work closely with a new coordinator of events to ensure high quality delivery of all Chamber programs and events.

Leadership Franklin, founded in 1996 to develop leaders in Franklin and Williamson County, has announced its 20th class. It includes:

Marcus & Millichap hires real estate veteran

O'Neal

Marcus & Millichap, a commercial real estate firm specializing in commercial real estate investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, has added Dwight O’Neal to its Nashville office.

A fixture in the Nashville market, O’Neal has spent the last three decades working in the commercial real estate and accelerated marketing business. He has spent most of those years as co-founder and managing partner for Nashville based RealtyTrust, LLC, a Tennessee firm specializing in accelerated marketing and commercial real estate investment sales, as well as serving as a national marketing specialist for international firm J.P. King.

Mr. O’Neal joins Marcus & Millichap as a senior associate, with a focus in office, multifamily and investment portfolio sales.

The League of Women Voters of Nashville, a local nonprofit organization encouraging informed and active participation of citizens in government, has announced its 2015-2016 board of directors.

BOHAN expands with San Francisco hires

Delger

BOHAN Advertising has bolstered its creative and new business departments with additions from two San Francisco agencies.

Tim Delger, previously associate creative director at Pereira & O’Dell, joins as associate creative director/art director, and Lucas Hagerty, previously client manager at Landor Associates, joins as new business and project director.

Delger, who also has been senior art director at David&Goliath in Los Angeles and GSD&M in Austin, Texas, has worked on accounts that include Southwest Airlines, Kia, BMW, Skype and the U.S. Air Force.

His work has won awards that include Silver Cannes Lions, The One Show Gold and Gold National Addys and has been published in Communication Arts Magazine.

Hagerty

Hagerty worked for clients such as Yelp, OtterBox, Korn Ferry and GE while at Landor Associates, a worldwide marketing, communications and design firm with offices in 22 countries. He also helped lead new business initiatives at Landor as a marketing and communications associate.

He participated in Vanderbilt University’s Summer Business Institute and had internships at the Washington Wizards of the NBA, the Charleston City Paper, MDB Communications in Washington, D.C., and the Central Eurasia Leadership Academy in Istanbul.

Regions adds two to wealth management team

Young

Regions has announced the hiring of Bryan M. Young and Conor Duggan for its private wealth management team. Both join as vice presidents and trust advisors.

Young, who holds the Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation and is working toward obtaining the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, joins Regions with more than 14 years of experience at SunTrust, where he was a trust advisor in the private wealth management division, and Deutsche Bank.

Young earned his undergraduate degree in business from Austin Peay State University and his MBA from The Massey School at Belmont University.

Duggan

Duggan comes to Regions from Clemson University where he served as a director of gift management at the Clemson University Foundation and was charged with managing all charitable gifts to the University and its affiliate organizations. Prior to Clemson, Duggan worked in the business and tort litigation practice group at the Jones Day law firm in Atlanta.

A native of the Washington, D.C. area, Duggan has a degree in business from Furman University and a law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
