NASHVILLE (AP) — Sony Entertainment named Randy Goodman, a Nashville native and former RCA Records executive, as the new chairman and CEO of Sony Music Nashville.

Goodman's appointment was announced Wednesday by the label, along with the appointments of Ken Robold as executive vice president and chief operating officer and Steve Hodges as executive vice president of promotion and artist development.

Goodman will oversee all of Sony Music Nashville's operations, including Arista Nashville, Columbia Nashville, RCA Nashville and Provident Music Group. He'll report to Sony Music Entertainment CEO Doug Morris.

He started his career at the RCA Label Group in Nashville, the forerunner of Sony Music Nashville, and worked with artists like Waylon Jennings, Alabama, Dave Matthews Band, Martina McBride, Clint Black and more.
