MURFREESBORO (AP) - State inspectors have found several problems at Rutherford County's Adult Detention Center.

According to The Daily News Journal (http://on.dnj.com/1JwtU54), Tennessee Corrections inspectors informed Sheriff Robert Arnold of the findings in a letter dated June 22.

Among the inspectors' numerous concerns, the letter says, are that six cameras do not work, logs do not reflect the weapons inventory and the jail's policy manual does not mention programs for inmates with disabilities.

In a statement, Arnold says the deficiencies will be addressed and resolved by Aug. 1. A re-inspection of the Murfreesboro facility is scheduled for Aug. 13, after which a final report will be presented to the Board of Control.

According to the report, the jail operates on a $15.1 million budget and serves more than 930 male and female inmates combined.
