Republicans Bush, Santorum making Tennessee stops
NASHVILLE (AP) — A declared Republican presidential candidate and a likely one are making Tennessee appearances in the coming days.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is the headliner at the state Republican Party's annual fundraiser in Nashville on Saturday evening. Bush's appearance follows a speech at last year's event by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, another potential GOP presidential candidate.
Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, who officially launched his 2016 presidential bid on Wednesday, is speaking in Chattanooga on June 10. Santorum won the state's Republican presidential primary in 2012.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who has announced a renewed bid for the 2016 nomination, won the 2008 Tennessee primary.
Meanwhile, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, the 2012 Republican nominee, is speaking at a health insurance industry conference in Nashville on Thursday.
