Lawyers' group to hold free legal clinics across Tennessee

Print | Front Page | Email this story

NASHVILLE (AP) - People having trouble navigating the justice system and who can't afford a lawyer are invited to attend a series of legal clinics across the state.

The Tennessee Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division is holding free legal help fairs to provide assistance. They will not give legal advice, but attorneys will direct people to resources that are available to help them navigate an often complex and confusing system. Some may be able to sign up to get legal questions answered by attorneys via the Internet at http://OnlineTNJustice.org .

Attendees will get information on a variety of topics including: debt collection, bankruptcy, landlord-tenant disputes, wills and divorce. Upcoming clinics will be held in Clarksville, Dayton, Gallatin, Livingston, Nashville, Sevierville, Paris, Morristown and Shelbyville.

Details about the upcoming clinics can be found online at http://www.tba.org/programs/access-to-justice-week.
