Print | Front Page | Email this story

NASHVILLE (AP) — College students interested in pursuing a career in criminal justice or forensic science can get hands-on experience through a new training program being offered by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

The TBI is currently accepting applications for its new Criminal Justice Academy, a one-week training program geared toward college juniors and seniors. At the academy, students will learn about the TBI, process mock crime scenes and go through different courtroom scenarios.

There is no cost for the training, food or lodging for the summer program. Students can find out if they are eligible to participate and apply for the academy on the TBI website at http://www.tbi.tn.gov/training_division/training.shtml

The deadline to apply is April 30.
