Nashville Sounds selling standing-room tickets for opener
NASHVILLE (AP) - With a new stadium nearing completion, box seats for the Nashville Sounds opening night are already sold out. To help fans attend the game, the Triple-A minor league affiliate of the Oakland Athletics is selling berm and standing-room tickets for the April 17 opening in advance.
Those tickets normally are only sold on the night of the game.
According to the team, fans can also secure an opening-night seat by becoming a season ticket holder.
The April 17 opener against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox is the start of an eight-game homestand. The Sounds are scheduled to play 72 home games at the new First Tennessee Park this season.
