NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee State Library and Archives is offering a free workshop on researching Nashville history.

The workshop will be conducted by David Ewing, a lawyer and historian who is also a ninth-generation Nashvillian. Ewing has been researching Nashville and his family at the State Library and Archives for 20 years.

On Saturday, March 28, Ewing will discuss how to navigate the library's records to research the city's history and to locate information about Nashville ancestors.

The workshop takes place from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the State Library and Archives in downtown Nashville. It is free but reservations are required.

Those interested in attending can register by calling (615) 741-2764 or by sending an email to [email protected].
