The Hermitage offering programs for Black History Month
NASHVILLE (AP) — The Hermitage is offering special free programs each Saturday in February in honor of Black History Month.
On Feb. 14, the historic home of President Andrew Jackson will present a panel discussion on African-American genealogy and free genealogy consultations.
On Feb. 21, The Hermitage will hold a panel discussion on African-American history and a special tour devoted to slavery at The Hermitage.
On Feb. 28, the home will present a memorial service to include the laying of 150 flowers, each representing a member of The Hermitage's enslaved community.
