NASHVILLE (AP) — Emma and William reprised their roles in 2014 as the most popular baby names in Tennessee, according to provisional figures from the state Health Department.

William has kept the number one spot for eight straight years. Emma has been the most popular girls' name in Tennessee for four years running.

All of the top 10 boys' names last year were the same as in 2013, only with different rankings. Elijah was the second most popular boys' name, followed by Mason, James, Noah, Liam, Jackson, John, Jacob and Ethan.

Two new names made the girls' top 10 list this past year with Harper and Ella bumping off Emily and Addison. In order of popularity, names number two through 10 were Ava, Olivia, Sophia, Isabella, Abigail, Harper, Elizabeth, Madison and Ella.
